Mac Pro 3,1 Memory and HDD Upgrade

Now that my Mac Pro is back in business (after baking video card) I intend to get more memory. Apple does not have any. Looking at RamJet (macmemory.com) as possible vendor. (http://www.macmemory.com/ItemDescription.asp?Item=MEPx8G) Any thoughts or options? I may also want to put in another HDD. Will any SATA/SATAII work or do I need something that is 'Apple specific'?
