Is it worth it to upgrade Tiger?
I have a 2007 (if memory serves correctly) iMac still running 10.4.11 Tiger and have been doing some research on upgrading and am wondering if it is worth it to upgrade, and if so what is the way to do it? I mainly use it for Photoshop, Final Cut, iPhoto is where I store all of my photos and iTunes. I've considered just starting over with a new Mac, but can't really justify it because I only use it for those few things, it still runs like a charm, and I'm no where near running out of space. If upgrading is the way to go, how do I do it? Do I go from Leopard, to Snow Leopard, to Lion (which I don't think I'm going to do right away, if I can even upgrade to Lion), or do I just go straight from Tiger to Snow Leopard? Do I get the $29 version of Snow Leopard, or buy the whole package? Or should I just not even worry about upgrading, and keep using Tiger? I'm rather confused about the whole upgrading thing and I don't know that much about Macs, so please keep it simple. I'm not by the Mac right now, but will be later and if you need more info just let me know and let me know how to access that information. 🙂 Thanks in advance!
