MY EARphones keep goin dead in one ear

All you have to do is just contact Apple and tell them you have no sound coming from your ear phone and they will send out a new pair. You should get them in about two days after you make the call. You don't even have to send the bad pair back. They are fast in sending out the new pair.

You probably have a short in one of the headphone wires. Replace the headphones.
A few other people have reported this (here and on other forums) also.
The headphones (not only Apple, but different brands also) keep going bad in the right ear only.

You have a defective ear.
I suggest you sue your parents for creating and releasing a defective product. (That was a joke-no ill will or rancor was intended.)

i have nearly the same problem, my right earphone start, after 2 months of extensive using, with strange noises.
And it doesn't help to rotate the plug in the Ipod.
I think it is maybe a problem with the membran because it happen only if i listen to loud music and only if there is a drum or deep sound. And i have now change my Ipod earphones two times in a ipod shop and the strange noises start after 2 months again.

try rotating the plug in the iPod. occasionally it will lost connection due to something in the hole. take compressed air and blow out the hole.
