iOS 5 Stuck on iTunes connect screen.

Just successfully downloaded iOS 5.0.1, I've gone through all the set up options (location, wifi, language etc.) but when I comes to 'Set up as new ipod, 'Restore from iTunes backup' or iCloud backup, I choose 'Restore from iTunes backup.' This gets all your apps, scores and music back onto your ipod right? It comes up 'connect to itunes' (which I do), but the 'connect to itunes' screen just stays there. Need Help, urgently!!!!! (I have itunes 10.5)
