I just made a movie on my new laptop running Lion, in my new version of Final Cut Pro X (Boooo!) and now I'm looking to make it into a DVD.
Where is iDVD?
I read you can only get it in the boxed version of iLife?
What do we use to make DVD's then?
Final Cut Pro X, Mac OS X (10.7.2), MacBook Pro

iDVD is a “Must Have". (Yes, it should be included.)
Call Apple they will sent out iDVD at no charge.

If you are still within your 15 day return period, nicely explain that you may return the computer without iDVD. That usually does the trick.

they got a free copy of iDVD.
If that doesn't work you can purchase iLife 11 (includes iDVD) on disk (don't get the download) for about $39.

Apple has chosen to eliminate it - why, no one knows. I've already sent in feedback, you might want to do the same. In the meantime, I decided to buy the iLife 11 retail disk just in case...
to get idvd, simply buy the retail version of iLife from your apple store. it'll also include iWeb. Support for these is iffy since they didn't update them to be in the app store.
