Belkin router on a PC, wireless belkin F5D7011 card on Powerbook G4.. Help!

Hi
I've fitted a Belkin G -router to our family pc, working fine, and have purchased a belkin G notebook Network card F5D7011 to work with my powerbook G4. It doesn't appear to want to connect wirelessly to the router. It is reconised by the powerbook as existing as the power light is on and the network light occasionally flickers but that's all.
I tried looking to see if there were any drivers available for download but it seems there aren't any for macs.
Any help at all with this would be greatly appreciated!

Hey Caz

Well first of all you made a good choice with Belkin, fortunately with that particular card you wont need any drivers installed at all. Belkin use the Broadcom chipset which is exactly the same internal workings as those used in Apple's own Airport Extreme cards. Basically this means you only have to use the Airport software on your PowerBook to activate the card. You'll need to use the Network control panel in System Preferences in order to configure your Airport connection to connect to the router. This should be relatively straight forward as your router should be configured out of the box to use DHCP and hopefully SSID broadcasting which means that your PowerBook should pick up all the info it needs straightaway once you have Airport turned on. You may have to fiddle around a bit depending on the set up of your router but hopefully once you've got Airport turned on, things should work fine from there. Hope that helps.
