getting my cannon 5000f on to my computer

I had a problem with my computer and it was with the apple guys when it came back my scanner software was not on it. I have tried and tried to put it on but it comes up with the message classic not supported. I can get the icons and that but when I go to scan it says plug in not found.Can anyone help really don't want to have to buy a new scanner
