I'm using DVD Studio Pro 3, I created a sequence for my menu and I need an overlay. So when I put in a Overlay as an image from Photoshop that I've saved a JPEG to my hard drive. I import that into DVDSP 3 and it goes as expected and then when I drag it to my menu it's a totally different color. It's a light color. I tried all sorts of different colors such as red, blue, green, yellow, orange, even black and nothing happened. Same thing inside of Simulator.
Any Ideas?

The overlay works as and alpha matte so you don't set the colour of the overlay in the source file you set it in the colour tab of the Button Inspector.

The button inspector allows you to elect between different colors in the different states, default, selected, active. It is done in the drop down menus.
