Logic hangs up @ start

When I go to load one particular song, I get this msg:

User uploaded file

I then get the spinning wheel of death (colour and b/w), can't 'escape', and end up having to force quit the app.

I've tried opening old versions and back ups, same issue.

Any way of loading a song without the exs instrument or some other workaround?

Many thanks.

Is there anything printed in the Console? (Console is an application, which comes with Mac OS X, you can find it e.g. via Spotlight)

I've had this happen when logic can't find something it usually loads at startup. Have you moved anything around on your drive?

You might try holding down option when you start logic. That for me seems to disable the attempts to open any prior projects. See if that gets you a little further along.

Do you see the logic banner window with the progress lines flashing by checking stuff?
