iPhone 4S Set Automatic Time and Location Problem

Same problem... I live in France and my iPhone checks me at Shangai... Beware because even with unchecking "set automatic time", my time is changing... I don't why...

Same here - I'm in Ireland but it shows me in Islamabad.

I hope this isn't affecting GPS in general - imagine the chaos in the skies!

Sorry... Another 'same here' reply, but no solution.. I am in Scotland but my phone insists I'm in Minsk! I know it's cold outside, but really....

It happened to me yesterday for the first time, but reset to the right time within a few hours. Hope it will do the same again soon...

Woah... Even as I speak I have now gone back to UK time... Weird...What's going on?

I have had this issue for the last 3 days, I restored my phone, I reset the network and did a soft reset and so far nothing has worked, I'm on O2 and they have offered me a replacement phone! No idea what the cause is though.

Yes I went today in an Apple Store in France. The seller told me that he had the same problem with his own iPhone 4S. Apparently, the only thing to do is to call Apple. The problem is not coming from the phone but from Apple themselves !

I called them up and after I tried everything and nothing worked that's when they offered the replacement, but now I'm not sure if the issue is more with apple than the phone, once I get the new one tomorrow I will update!

I had the same problem ! I live in France and since two days my Iphone 4S checked me at Zhengzhou in China ! I went in an Apple store today and the seller told me that he had the same problem with his own Iphone (in Russia^^).

I try a lot of things, and I think that I fixed the problem (I am currently in France^^).

I don't know the right name for you because mine is in french but:

-Go to "settings"

-"General"

-"Reset" at the bottom

and chosse "reset network settings"

For me it is good !

I know, same here, I'm the only one out of all my friends it has happened to! I'll try the new phone tomorrow and let you know how I get on. Good luck! I also tried the reset network and it worked for about an hour and then went back to the old problem!.Just now it comes and goes but it is really annoying!

Same problem here in switzerland. Located in Shanghai and date and time are wrong. Happen on an iPhone 4.

I have to say an other iPhone 4 with same iOS version (5.0.1) in same room is not affected by the problem.

I have a same problem living in Scotland and position is in Mexico City.

I did master reset holding down power and home buttons together till apple logo comes on and after

few hours come back the same but I've tried turned off set automatic time and seems to be ok for today

I'll see tomorrow

Hope is not gonna be replacment need it because in a month it is my second iPhone4S 😟
