Looks like iPhoto is now a piece of junk. It screws up the pictures if you try to order an XL book. And now the stores servers are so busy that you can't even get a regular size book. Way to go Apple. I expect a lot more from a company that I've supported since day 1.

Resrtart in safe mode and preview your book
Before ordering your book preview it using this method - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1040 - and save the resulting PDF for reference - the delivered book will match it.
It probably will be fine - if so order while in safe mode (after ordering reboot back to standard mode)
