Why, Why, Why are tracks available on iTunes uploaded instead of matched?

Seriously. 10 out of 12 tracks on a CD were uploaded instead of matched.

Sigh.

32GB Black iPhone 4+3.06GHz 17-inch MacBook Pro 8GB - 500GB@7200 - Antiglare -, Mac OS X (10.7), - I want .mac back as an email option.

Lot's of people are having this problem, no one has the exact answer, but we're all working on figuring it out! Certain metadata tags do not seem to matter. I've had songs matched that had incorrect artist names and incorrect album names in the tags. Track length appears to matter. The waveform of the song seems to matter. But no official word about how matches are made has been forthcoming.
