Garageband Midi Time out issue

I want to record some acoustic guitars, I down loaded Garageband from the app store on my imac. It took a good 5 min to open and then said this:

"GarageBand has detected a MIDI timeout. Please restart your computer, then relaunch GarageBand.

If the problem persists, update the drivers of all connected MIDI devices (including audio drivers with MIDI functionality) to the latest version. For instructions on removing older drivers, consult the manufacturers' documentation."

After trying that several times to no avail I disconnected my Cakewalk FA-66 firewire audio interface and restarted again....no luck

I don't have any MIDI anything that I'm aware of, I repaired permissions and unpluged my exteranal hard drive, and I'm not sure how to update the drivers on the FA-66, I know they are plug and play compatible with mac.

What am I missing?

I'm running Lion 10.7.2, 3.2 GHz Intel Core i3, 12 GB 1333MHz DDR3

GarageBand (Mac) '11, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
