How can I change the birthday date on the iPad2 (entered at the time of setting up the iPad)?

Hi,

I helped a colleague set up a new iPad2. I need to change the birthday date (which I believe may be used for password retrieval in due course) that is entered at the time of setting up. Please would you confirm how I can change that?
