Just downloaded Rise of the Planet of the Apes. Movie plays fine but the extras will not (on my PC). Clicking on the extras does nothing. I can select scenes from the Extras but nothing else. How do you play extras on ATV? Movie is ok but do not even see the extras.

I have the same problem, bought It Might Get Loud and can play the movie but not the extras. Can select the extras on the menu with my mouse but the links do nothing. What to do? Wish I'd bought the DVD instead. Maybe need to get a refund so I can purchase the DVD and see the extras properly.
Having the same problem with all the movies I downloaded from the Hangover 2 to the Rise of the planet of the apes plus more, Been working with someone for about a week now maybe longer to try different steps.
The steps they are having me do is something I already tried or I know it has nothing to do with it but I will do it for them.
What the problem is ( and something happened like this a while back with everything) the extras are not moving to the "Movie" folder in the itunes folder, they are still in the download folder and moving them wont help because they dont have the correct names to the video file. each file is in a flder with a name like Hangover II extras (something like that) and inside it the video file just says "download.m4v" and until its named correctly it can not play thru itunes video or Apple TV, once they get named they may work after that but im trying to get the file names so I can try it with the hangover 2 since that only have 4 videos. Right now they want to reset my password and im not sure why but it the email I got today, but trust me it happening on 2 different computers and even 2 different accounts on one computer, I tried it on a new fresh user account that I created and still same thing all files in the download folder with not names to match each file.
The problem is with the last itunes update because the other movies I downloaded had extras and they play fine and all are moved into the Movie folder in my itunes folder. now if I click on each folder and play each video file they will play but I just cant do it from itunes or my apple tv I have to go into my folder and search my download folder and play each one manually.
when this happened while back it was doing the same thing but with everything and when I used a earlier version of Bonjour for some reason the problem went away but I did try that now and no luck.
all I know is I want the names of each video file so I can test my theory out and im sure it will work just waiting for them to finally listen to me.
I guess that's what happened with me and Avatar iTunes Extras - they are still in Download folder and not integrated. I just reported it so I'll see what they say.
well they reset my password so they could test the movies and they told me that on the MAC it plays fine so it seems that its only a windows issue with itunes, there is a 800 number that takes me to the next step of tech support and I will call and see what they come up with but if they would just give me the names of the video file I can rename them and be done.
You will find the names of the video files in the "data.js" file. You have to dig through it. They weill be in quotes. Unfortunately you will probably have to play each file to see which one it is. I don't know why they are dragging their feet on getting this fixed, especially right after Christmas when so many people are probably downloading.

Boo. I'd have hoped this one was licked by now. Have you checked your download folder for missing content? If you can't fix things by hand report the problem to the store.

Yep checked the download folder... Non existant extras. I have the hi and standard def file but no John Carter extra's file. I have them for other movies.
I have reported this to the store... and wait a "dear john" reply.ðŸ˜
I Australia we don't have the ability to redownload movies currently via itunes, so it will have to be reset. I think the "extra's" were forgotten in the download, unless for some reason we dont get extra's in AU on this movie... the site advertising is definate however.
Love the film, don't know why it got a bad review but then I am a fan of the original books and its not a bad adaption.😕
Hopefully they will requeue the extras package for it. The contract is to deliever you a complete copy of the product with all its parts. Once you have those you can back them up against future problems, but you need a working copy first! 😉

I also bought (It Might Get Loud). Great movie by the way. The extras play fine on my Mac and also played fine in the past on my PC. However iTunes extras are not included if added to an iOS device such as an iPhone or an iPod Touch, only the movie itself. Apple TV doesn't support iTunes Extras.
