I try to add MobileMe calendar to iCal on OSX 10.7.2 and I get the message "iCal couldn't log in to the CalDAV server “me.com”. Standard apply reply in support is to upgrade to 10.7.2, but I'm already there.
Same problem. I'm already on 10.7.2.
I got the problem resolved through Online Chat. It involved going back through system preferences, but I can't remember the exact steps. If you contact Apple Support, my case number was Case ID: 272501455. Maybe they can pull up the transcript. The key is to get the MobileMe online chat. The regular phone support apparently doesn't handle MobileMe type problems. Good luck.
Solved it.
I added a new MobileMe account in my iCal prefs, using my existing Apple ID.
Once that was set up, I was able to select calendars for syncing in my System Preferences. They synced a few seconds after that.
