Hi!
I have just bought a canon mp495 and I can't install it on my OS X 10.7.2.
MacBook Pro, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
Go to the cannon website and download the drivers for OSX 10.7. You may have got outdated software with your printer.
I have already downloaded the new drivers but I cant make it. Im new using Mac and cant find the drivers in the software options when I try to add the printer.
Which ones did you install?

Its also possible that it is already installed. Open your printer prefs, select your printer, then Print Using/Select Printer Software. Type in MP495 and see if it comes up.
Did you follow the install instructions?

nothing... The printer appears when I open Printers, in system preferences, but i cant install it. When I select mp495 and + i get a message that the software for the printer is not available. When I try to add using selecting printer software nothing appears in the new window, i cant find the driver...
and I am using USB, can imagine it should be easier?
Then choose "Other" instead and navigate to Macintosh HD/Library/Printers/PPDs/Contents/Resources.
All your printers should be in there.
