if you'll be active on these boards for a while you might get an invitation like this:

"OS X Lion Software Update Invitation:

Apple invites you to participate in a software seeding project."

I got a few months ago...

I would assume there is an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) associated with accepting such an invite, which means those who have joined such endeavors are not supposed to reveal that.

Back when I was an Apple developer, we were allowed to disclose that fact (but little else).

We even mentioned in our advertising that we were an Apple developer.

I would guess that the AppleSeed program is administratively under the Apple Developer folk, but that since they are testing near-release builds of Apple software the AppleSeed NDA may be more restrictive.

Might have become more restrictive, too, after the lost-iPhone events.

After a series of argumented bug reports and some activity here, you may qualify for testing. No rule.

All are right, make yourself productive on this forum, and you might get an invitation, but such invitation is personal and not to be disclosed ( thus stevejobsfan you wil not get an answer from niels 😉 ).

You could become an Apple developer (I think it costs $99)

Some of you guys are talking about appleseed but you need to be invited to it and im sure they have an invatation code to join you cant just join
