I recently installed from bought disk from Apple Store the iWork application. I had to upgrade immediately to get to wok on my new iMac. So far so good. Then I am asked to enter the serial number.
Where is it??
Not on the box.Not on the disk. not in the software. Not on my receipt from Apple.

There is no serial number for the in the box version.
If the trial version was installed on your machine, you must uninstall every file linked to it before installing from the DVD.
This is why I wrote an uninstall script available on my iDisk (address below).
Download :
For_iWork:iWork '09:uninstall iWork '09.zip
The version installed from the disk is obsolete so, after installing from the DVD, run Software Update immediately to get and apply the needed updater.

Thank you. I own loaded your script and ran it. Did not notice the old iWork uninstall, so I trashed it as Apple say to uninstall apps.
When you say all the files need to be u installed, do You mean all your docs etc as well that I have from the trial version?
Anyway, I think that it is working now thanks.

Of course, my script doesn't remove the documents which you created. It remove every files which are components of the iWork package.
It's easy to see which they are in the script.

Yes thank you. It all works now. Just haven't got the syncing going with my iPad yet.
