do you know how much that cost? what happens if you do not change the battery? also what if you turn off the laptop and service battery doesnt show anymore, does that still mean there is something wrong with the battery?
cost depends on where you buy the battery from. If you don't change the battery you will just see further deterioration of batttery life. Sometimes the status wil change from "normal" to "service battery" as it might be on the borderline. Just be aware that you will need a new battery soon. If you have a user replaceable battery, keep an eye on the battery to make sure it doesn't expand, which can do damage to the trackpad. Just start saving for a new battery.
