My inbox has both ICloud and MobileMe accounts; so I get all email in both accounts. Can I safely disable the mobileme account; and how do I do this?
Mail preferences, select accounts, highlight mobile me, click on the advanced window, uncheck enable this account.
If you're logged into iCloud, it enables the iCloud MMe account in Mail. If you log out of iCloud, then the iCloud MMe will disappear from mail.
This did not work because when asked to save changes, I got the following message:
The account path /Users/philipcorn/Library/Mail/V2/AosIMAP-philipcorn is already being used by the account “iCloud”
Also, I'm not sure I understood your second paragraph.
Try logging out of iCloud. One of the accounts should disappear in your inbox and in Mail preferences/Accounts. I assume that it shows 2 accounts in the preferences.
Then, try to disable the other MMe account. If successful, log back into iCloud and your iCloud account should reappear.
