iChat 6.0.1 in Lion 10.7.2 issue with screen share and clam shell?

I used to use iChat to connect with my parents macbook to remote control their desktop via screen sharing. Specifically, I would use my Macbook in clamshell mode (using external monitor and keyboard) in my home office since i did not care to see video. This worked wonderfully with 10.6.x. However, ever since 10.7.x and the new iChat (6.0.x), the only way to screenshare is to use my Macbook with my parents is in non-clamshell mode. It seems that iChat 6.0.x requires the built-in Camera to be active.

Does anyone know any work arounds?

Hi,

My Lion (iChat 6.x.x) computer is an iMac and I cannot test this as I do not have a second Screen I can link up to it at present.

I have not heard anyone else posting about this.

Having said that it is one things a smaller group of people will be trying to do.

I do know one of the other regular posters who may be able to help on this.

Does this work in Clamshell Mode ?

If it does we can work on what iChat may need to achieve this.
