Help! My iPod won't let me dowload apps

What iPod touch gen do you have?

What iOS version does it run - 3.1.3, 4.x, 5.x?

If you have a computer (Mac or PC) with iTunes on it, you can download apps via iTunes, then sync to get the apps to the device.

I've been having the same problem all day today/yesterday. I have an original iPhone running iOS 3.1.3. I also noticed today some other issues with the App Store app: images from description of apps, near the end, will not scroll to the right; if I go to the "Featured" tab, no images are loaded next to the apps listed, and if I go to one of the apps listed, I cannot get back to the main "Featured" page without rebooting my iPhone (there is no "back" button). So, a few strange things are going on.

I'm sad because my laptop also recently died, and so I can't download apps through iTunes on my computer.

I have versioin 3.1.3 and the same thing is happening to me - tried to dowload them on my computer via itunes and tried to sinc them - but that didn't work either? Anyone know what's going on? Plenty of room on my ipod - that's not the problem.

This is the second time I've heard that synching isn't working from iTunes on a computer for some of us. (My laptop died, and so I haven't been able to try it myself yet.) But I think I have read that others can do it.

I had the same thing happen to my ipod which still had the 3.0.2 version on it. If you go into settings and then general, scroll all the way to the bottom and click on reset. Then you will get the option to erase your ipod data and reset it and then plug it into your PC, it will give you the option to download the 5.0.1 version. After that was done, you have the option to restore your ipod so it will put all of your music, photos, etc back on it. I did have to reload some of my apps from the app store, but after I updated it, I was able to download apps. Good luck everybody!!

If the apps are compatible with your generation iPod and iOS then it is due to an Apple problem. Other users are experiencing the same problem

ISSUE IS SAME MY USB MULTIFUNCTIONED I CSNNOT FIX IT AND SO I CANT DOWNLOAD IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME FIX

Um, my iPod Touch is 1st Gen, it can't install even iOS 4.x, let alone 5.x.

This now seems to be fixed by Apple!

IT WORKS fine for me now. Didn't work earlier today, even after a reset of the device.

iPod Touch 1st Gen, iOS 3.1.3.

Mine's working now, too, without any reset of my original iPhone. Looks like Apple fixed things on the server side... Finally.
