I can't add my Gmail account to my newiPad2
iPad 2, iOS 5.0.1
What happens when you try, and are you trying to add it directly on the iPad or syncing it's settings via the Info tab when connected to your computer's iTunes ?
Trying to add directly. I keep getting message that my username and password don't match. Is it easier to do it through iunes?
If you have it set up on, for example, Outlook on a PC or Mail on a Mac , then you can use the Info tab to sync the account's settings to the iPad. Otherwise for directly entering them on the iPad there are instructions for Gmail here or here (if you want to be able to sync google contacts and calendar).
I have done the steps for Gmail many times. Can'tfigure out what I am doing wrong.
You enter the full email address including the '@' part ?
