iTunes sessions times out

I hope the smart people here can help, because no one at Apple can. I'm running OS X 10.4.11, and I cannot purchase music on iTunes. After choosing music to purchase, and agreeing to the terms and conditions, the session times out, stating, "Your session has times out. Try again." I've never had an issue before, and tried after turning firewall and anti-virus off. Thank you in advance to anyone who can tell me what's going on.

Try a google search for "itunes session times out" - apparently there's some fix that involves re-setting your system clock. Lots of links to various fixes to try.

I had spent the better part of two hours on this issue. I found a whole host of fixes, but the clock reset was mentioned in all forums as the crux of the problem. I went back and adjusted the clock by ten minutes, and now I'm back in business. I guess I wasn't adjusting the clock enough.
