my brand new phone just went blank!

Any ideas why my phone went blank? There is a hint of the spinning wheel but plugging it in did nothing. I tried to sync and itunes did not even see it. I have a 4S that is just out of the box on Friday.

Hold down home and sleep buttons until the Apple logo appears.

Plug in with Wall Charger and do the above mentioned Reset, hold both Home and Power buttons until the iPhone begins to restart. Usually less than 20 seconds of holding both buttons.
