Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and as they've recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.

Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

I should add that not only has Adobe cancelled Flash for mobile devices (phones and tablets), they have also indicated that they intend to phase out support for Flash as a browser plug-in at some point. They've committed to using HTML5 in browser and mobile applications and Flash will be retooled as a platform for desktop application development.

Right now, on tablets and phones, there's no Flash support. There are a couple of browser apps in the app store that proxy access to flash sites and attempt to simulate Flash on iOS. There had been some versions of Android that ran a version of Flash (it performed poorly, but worked on many sites), but that's been discontinued and is no longer available (not that it would help on your iPad anyway).
