hello there. my iphone 4s was exposed to water recently. subsequently, i have put it through the hands of two repair service agents, both of whom have given up claiming problems with the IC. they say, that the IC would have to be replaced for the phone to work again.

i understand the phone is not replaceable under warranty when damaged by liquid exposure. i also understand there is some sort of a replacement service available where i can get the phone replaced for a particular cost, that is not the full amount. could someone confirm this. also, i live in oman, where there are only resellers. no apple store. so which is the closest location where i can avail this replacement service? the uae?

iPhone 4S, iOS 5.0.1

You would have to work with Apple or an authorized iPhone servicer in the country in which your iPhone was originally sold. You can't get your iPhone replaced in any other country.
