How does air print work? I have a brother wireless that supports air print but the iPad can't seem to connect.

Is there an expert out there that can give me a hand?

I believe you may be mistaken.. So far generally only HP has released printers that are AirPrint capable with iPads. Brother printers are Wireless capable but NOT AirPrint capable. So in order to print you will need to search the iPad App Store for a 3rd Party App that will enable you to Wirelessly print to your Brother printer. And, yes, there are such Apps available.

Hope this helps 🙂

There are now some brother printers that support airprint. The list is attched in the link. But this is a fairly new development for brother. First check the list and see if your model is on it. If it is, then get the printer onto your wifi network, then from the printer control console (not the pc ) look for the utility to update the printer firmware. Almost all the airprint printers ned a firmware update before they work.

If your printer is not on the list, then it may be wireless, but not airprint compatible. You can find an app to print via a computer networked on your system in the app store.
