does anyone know how to change the default category when i make a new event?

I know this is a stupid question, but I can't figure it out at all. Google searches lead me only to changing the lengths of time. Everytime I make a new event it automatically categorizes it as a health related event, when I more regularly use the appointment category. Is there a way to change this?
