I find the light gray of the day numbers and the horizontal & vertical lines to be too faint for my dad's eyesight. And "enhancing the contrast" in Universal Access preferences just causes the gray to fade away completely! Does anyone know of a hack to darken those grays?
You can make the font larger. Menubar > View or command +
You can also try recalibrating the colour. System Preferences > Display > Colour.
Control-option-command-8 is the fast way for inverting colors and contrast without having to go through preferences.
Easy enough to switch back when your done.
Maybe your problem is more wide spread then this isolated case, and more drastic measure should ensue.
