Can't add printer- error -30886

I am running OS 10.6.8 on and iMac with Intel. Was having trouble printing to a previously added printer. So, I tried deleting the printer and adding it again. Now I can't add the printer and get an Error: -30886. "An error occurred while trying to add the selected printer". I was able to print to this printer in the past without issue and obviously had added the printer on my iMac too. I have an older G5 that is running 10.4.11 and am able to print to the same printer without any issues. The iMac software is all up to date including the supplemental update. Any help with this is appreciated. Thanks!
