Apple locked my iTunes account after I disputed unauthorized iTunes charges. I'm getting a new phone and need iTunes. I can't seem to unlock the account so I can't update apps, buy new apps, songs, etc.

I disputed an Apps charge on my Apple account. Apple locked my account. I emailed iTune support and they asked for the address on my Apple account and I sent it. Response was Apple was looking into the facts and I would receive an Email when it was unlocked. That was a week ago and when asked again. They are still looking into it.
