Just got an iPad2 and now when my wife sends a text message to my iPhone (from hers) it goes to the iPad. All are registered on the same Apple account, but different carriers for the iPhones. iPad is WiFi only.

You must have iCloud set up using the same email address you use for messages on your iPhone. This is one of the nice advantages of iCloud.
It's the Apple account. If you don't want the messages going to all devices, you need to set up each one with a different Apple I.D.
How do I do that? My text messages that I send from my iPad are showing up on my son's iPhone (my old one) - not cool!!! Help!
That's scary ! Better fix that.
I have the same issue when upgraded to Lion. I saw a comment that you need to create one accoung for each user. So what happend when you connect your device to Itunes. Doesn't itune only take one account per computer?
Please help too as I dont want to send my messages to all my devices.
