Although I wouldn't agree with the conclusion, good reasons for why not can be found here:
The best way to uninstall most apps is simply to drag them to the Trash. Some apps have an uninstaller. If it doesn't work properly, you need to deal with that app individually by contacting the developers or asking others on their user forums.. There is no one 'cure all' answer to all apps that don't behave according to Apple guidelines.
