FCPX RAM killer

Just to add my cent, hoping that Apple works on this after looking many posts on this topic.

I have a macbook pro, i7, 8gb. Snow Leopard.

Working in FCPX with little projects is OK, but once you have to use bigger projects, or many of them, it becomes so slow, that makes working almost impossible. I have a big project (300 gb of raw material) on a portable hard drive. Just to open it, FCPX takes from 5 to 10 minutes.

FCPX is amazing. But the way it handles RAM, the abscence of reconnecting media, multicamera, the poor keyframe interface, makes it very difficult to choose it as a pro tool.

16 GB here (and it still runs out from time to time) but I wouldn't go back to FCP7 despite the lack of true multicam and reconnecting clips etc.

One of the most annoying things for me is that in and out points disappear unless you mark them as favourites or keywords.

It seems opposite here. I have 10 GB in my Mac Pro and it hardly ever use more than 5 GB whatever I do. And it worries me that FCP X will not use more. This is very strange.
