Users & Groups Missing from System Preferences

Hello,

I'm missing Users & Groups from System Preferences from my MacBook Pro which is running Lion Mac OS X 10.7.2. My original issue was that System Preferences would not open. It would open quickly with a blank window and then close. I deleted the System Preferences cache folder and rebooted. System Preferences opened and everything is there except for Users & Groups.

I tried opening Users & Groups through the help center but received this error message: "This item cannot be opened. It may be disabled or not installed. 2 param error." Is there anyway to re-enable this? Or is there a way to set the MacBook Pro back to factory default? Unfortunately I don't have the media to reinstall the OS so I'm hoping there is a quick resolution.

Thanks,

Vijay

I don't see the com.apple.systempreferences or com.apple.preferencepanes.cache. I searched the hard drive but came up with nothing.

I checked another MacBook Pro my company has and I cannot find these files on that system either so maybe I'm looking in the wrong place. Through Finder I selected go to folder and typed in administrator/library/caches and there is no folder. Also went through the users folder and didn't see anything.

I did find Library/Caches on root of the drive and also in the System folder but none of the aforementioned files.

Sorry, I'm a newbie when it comes to working with Macs at the corporate level. I may have to just reset to factory settings but luckily won't lose any data.
