Adjusting image geometry

In upgrading to Aperture I was expecting to be able to morph the geometry within images, beyond the basic capability of changing the angle of the whole picture. I had seen this in other products, Adobe I think.

Anyhow... am I just missing something? Is this capability there? If not, can we request it for development in future versions? I was so surprised, disappointed not to find this...

If you're referring to perspective correction, then no that is not a part of standard Aperture. If you wish to request a feature use Aperture->Provide Aperture Feedback, this is a user to user forum and Apple doesn't participate here.

There are plugins that will do what you are looking for, one the I use is PTLens. does a good job.

Note : I am just a satisfied user of PTLens no other connection.

No, image geometry adjustment is not part of Aperture, only minor correctons as part of the raw processing - as far as I know. But there are plenty of plugins available to do that, e.g. GridEffects (Human Software), to name just one.

Have a look at the plug-ins available for download in the Aperture menu:

P.S.:

You were asking, if we should request this feature for future Aperture versions: Have a look at Kirby Krieger's answer to a similar request for extended features by me:

P.P.S: The screenshot above shows the link to the Aperture Feedback Page 😝
