Does installing lion have an effect microsoft office software installed?

Im thinking of installing lion onto my macbook pro.

WIll it have an effect on the microsoft office software that i have installed?

Depends on what version of Office you have installed.

2004 won't work at all.

2008 and 2011 will work fine.

Some people have a PowerPC based installer for 2008. If that is your case, then you can install Lion and everything will continue to work, but if you have to reinstall office for some reason, it won't work.

if you upgrade from SL, as I understand, it should work. this is valied for 2008 and 2011, 2004 will not work any more.
