Backup over ethernet extremely slow after Lion re-install
Recently after having connectivity issues after upgrading to Lion, I ended up having to erase the hard drive, reinstall Lion, then migrate my user data over (the problem was in an application so I decided not to migrate those and have been re-installing them from scratch). Now that I have the machine stable and the problem solved, I want to do a backup to the Time Capsule, but when I run it it is VERY slow - only 900k of 265G over 3 days. I never had this issue before the reinstall.
I am using ethernet only, and I renamed my iMac (suggested by the Apple support angel that was helping with the previous issue). But the problem persists. I don't want to lose the old backups if possible. Any other ideas of what I could do to get backups going again?
I would appreciate any advise - thanks!
iMac, Mac OS X (10.7.2)
