Could we have an Update on the iPod Nano Replacement program for all UK users perspective...

Sorry I have excluded everyone else on this topic, but I can't seem to fathem whats going on? NO ONE I know seems to have recieved their replacement iPod Nano's and are stuck at stage 3 in the repair status 'Product Replacement Pending'. Are we going to get 6th Gen. Nano's? Or are we different from the US and Canada and will be given our original/refurbished/new Nano's back? Mine has been stood still since 22nd November, when Apple recieved my iPod

Please could someone provide information with an update...

Good thread..Just seems as if all US returns are being made and with 6th gens. I've been at the Product replacement pending stage since 9th Dec. Would be good to hear from anyone in the UK that has had a return be it a 1st gen or 6th. I am happy to wait however long, I just want some kind of clue to determine what Apple might actually be sending back!

Same here sent mine back on 17th Nov and have been replacment pending since 7th December

Though I love my original nano which has given good sevice I would prefer a 6 gen as that could hold all my audio in a pod smaller than my Touch that I can wear as a watch.

I also think it is very unfair if the US and Canada are given new models and we end up getting their old refurb Gen 1s

I've been replacement pending since 25th November. There are people in the US who sent them in after me and have already had their replacement 6th gens.

Apple really haven't handled this very well, at least from a UK perspective. Doubly so since it's been reported on this forum that Europe will be getting 1st gens back.

I guess they're refurbing all the USA/Canada returns and distributing them to us...would also explain why we're waiting so much longer.

For some reason, I have a feeling the UK is being left until last. It seems as if USA/Canada is being cleared off first..and I think there must be a reason behind it. I wouldn't be suprised if US 1st Gens along with the UK's are being refurbed and then shipped back to us over in the UK as our replacements.

Does anybody think Apple would benefit from this method, or would it be in their best interest to simply replace every single 1st Gen with the latest Nano?

I think a lot more people would be satisfied if they just knew the basic information..this is tense stuff! 😝

Firstly, great idea to have a separate UK thread!

I sent my request on the 13th of November and have had my status say 'Product replacement pending' since the 25th of November.

Hopefully all those still waiting (myself included) will get replacements soon.

It will be good if eveyone comes here to update when that happens.

🙂

My new silver 6th gen arrived at the door an hour before the Apple e-mail reached me. Found it a bit confusing to use initially as the language was set to Chinese, so finding "settings" was not the easiest thing! It would have been nice to have a printed manual with it – I have now downloaded the manual but don't fancy printing out all 66 pages of it.

My Ist gen Nano was received by Apple on 17 November. The status was still "replacement pending" at midnight last night, but had been updated to "replacement product shipped" by 8.30am today, and it arrived by UPS just before 9am.
