i have a iMac 2GHz Intel Core Duo running 10.6.8 becasue there not allowing me to upgrade to Lion.

i have an iPad 2 and i cannot do anything with it with my computer because i need iTunes 10 which i can download but it never opens?

it does that little bouncey thing in the dock but then the icon disapears. To use itunes at all i must download an older version 9.2.1

were im confused is when i try to update to lion it tells me i cant, but then the newest version of itunes comes up in my software update, i download and it doesnt work??

    the latest iTunes version 10.5.2 requires the following, if you meet them, you should be able to download it:

    I meet those requirement. I'm not having a problem downloading it, apple recommends that I do. The issue is when I download and install it bounces in the dock the disappears.
