How to stop dmg files from mounting everytime I restart?

I have dmg files that persistently remount every time I restart. This has been a problem for me in Snow Leopard and now Lion. What gives? I download a dmg, mount it, install the application, eject the dmg and move it to a folder for later archiving. They just keep re-mounting, over and over and over. I actually have to archive them and delete them to stop it from happening.

Any fixes?

Thanks

Do they show as mounted in DiskImage when you reboot? I've had the odd one that used to want to launch as a volume like a flash drive for some reason, until I found that it was mounting in DiskUtility and after I ejected it from there it disappeared for good, although you sound like you are getting more than the odd one. Dont know if it would be a corrupt .plist? I'm sure someone will be onto this for you shortly.

Cheers
