Control of bass and treble

Is any way to control bass and treble when sound is not coming through iTunes?

I have two Bose Companion 2 Series II Multimedia Speaker System (Graphite)

that don't have controls. When sound comes from iTunes, is perfect, I use the equalizer and they respond great, but the sound from news casts, DVD movies, etc., the bass is too strong and there is no treble.

Any software?

Any application?

Please Help.

Thank you.

Thank you very very much!

I went to Hear, downloaded the trial of 30 days and after playing for a couple of hours on my 2 macs at home,

I bought it!

With the nice surprise of having to pay $19.99 only.

I bought it despite a couple of bad reviews that where posted somewhere.

The software gave me a real boost on the quality and even volume with lots of distortion control of sound for my Bose Companion II, and the Edifier that I'm usingwith my 15" MacBook Pro!

It has all the controls that you can think of, short of a sound studio. Is very easy to use and, again I'm really grateful to X423424X.
