I have several emails and have them all set up on Mac mail. To help consolidate all my emails I've set up Mac mail to forward one of my aol accounts to my iCloud. The forwarding works on both the Mac and my iPhone 4s but if my computer goes to sleep or the mail program isn't running none of my emails from my aol account will forward. Any solutions to this ?

I don't have an aol account, but can't you log in to your aol account settings and have the mail forwarded directly to your iCloud address instead of forwarding from your Mail account? You can then turn off your aol account in Mail.

Apart from setting up another email account (such as a GMail address) to pull your AOL mail in, and then forward that to iCloud, there is no way to do what you want. Seems AOL don't want their users to easily forward emails automatically to another account.
Step 2: Lose the account. 🙂
