Image burn-in on 23" cinema display

Have been noticing lately that white areas (menus etc) are leaving an 'imprint' on my display that I can see when changing to a screen with dark tones in the same area of the monitor if I have a particular screen up for awhile. This persists for several minutes. I thought LCD displays were immune from this but this one has a good amount of run time on it and I am wondering if it is on its last legs.As I do a fair amount of photo editing on my Mac, this seems to be to be a potential problem in obvious ways. I have had this display about a year and don't recall noticing it until fairly recently.

As my preference is strongly towards anti-glare display, especially for photo work, the chance of my next monitor being Apple-branded is virtually nil so I am hoping that this one isn't done yet. Any thoughts or suggestions?
