i can see all the data in external hard disk but . but cant move any data fron hard disk to mac or viceversa and i cant even creat a folder in side hard disk . but its a pendrive its working properly ..
It could be locked. Or it could be formatted in a imcompatible format. For example, a Mac can read NTFS files, but can't write to them.
Are you familiar on how to copy files from an external to internal drive? You just select and drag from one drive to the other.
i m a window user and just recently i have purchase mac pro and every thing is ok but that hard disk showing cant acess so , may be problem with reading file as u mntion it can only read NTFS file ,cant write to them . can u give me any advice what to do actually ? thanking u
You need to get some software that allows your Mac to read and write to the NTFS disk. There's a whole bunch of stuff out there, but this program has a good review, and you can try it for free. I would move everything off of your external drive, reformat it into Mac OSX extended, and use it for your Mac. You don't need NTFS anymore, unless you still have a Windows computer that needs it.
