Will Apple fix my Ipod Touch for free?

So, it's christmas day, and I was so happy to find that I got an ipod touch 4s 32g I was so happy. So I was watching tv and I had the ipod safe in my pocket. Then, when I got up the ipod fell out of my pocket. The screen has those spider web cracks and my parents got really angry. I was wandering if I would be able to get it fixed because I don't have enough money to pay for a screen replacement or a whole new ipod touch. 😟 Im just fourteen so it's very annoying to get such an awesome present and have it break really fast. 😟 I think it should still be under warranty since it's brand new. I will go to an apple store soon, and I hope that they can replace or fix it.
