I recently purchased an ipod touch (4th gen) however it was acidentially connected while my brother was signed into itunes and now it seems it has become registered in his name with his account settings. How can I register the ipod in my name and ensure it has nothing to do with my brothers details?

Log into your computr and make sure that you are loggd into yur account in iTunes. Then connect the iPod to the computer and restore the iPod to factory defaults/new iPOd. See the restoring topic of:

Log out of his account and log in with your account. Click restore and when asked, select set up as new
