Q - What is APS Daemon.exe?

I saw this just recently, and it is active. But I understand it is for wirelessly syncing a device like Ipod, Ipad, Iphone. I don't have any wireless Apple gadgets; only an Ipod, that is synced w/ USB cord. So - do I really need to keep the Daemon installed?

Oh dear, I think your computer is infected with Malware.

Go to Windows Safe Mode - Restart computer and hit F8 right after BIOS and choose SAFE MODE with networking. Download Malwarebyte free version from CNET's DOWNLOAD.COM. Install it, perform an update, then do a complete scan. Follow instruction to remove if they do find any viruses or spywares. Then restart computer.
